I recall posting a blog about how something looks often (not always) is a great indicator for how something will taste. I made a few wise cracks about the presentation of this cappuccino. Obviously it looks weird and foamy and we all know that weird and foamy generally means scorched milk.
I reluctantly dove in and found:
It was pretty good. The extraction was nice and even though the texture of the milk looked like a Foldgers commercial it was actually pretty close to standard. It just looked awful. You can't really tell from the picture but this wasn't the classic pour steamed milk and top with foam cappuccino. They frothed their milk a little too long but overal it was a really good drink. I have no idea what they use or where it comes from but it was ugly but pretty solid. It also helps to keep in mind that they are a restaurant not a coffee bar. Posana has great food and solid coffee options.
